CORCA committee

AARON JONES

Aaron has been riding Mountain Bikes for over 20 years and still has the first MTB bike he bought in California all those years ago.  He enjoys all aspects of mountain biking, except riding uphill!!

He stepped into the big shoes as President and keeps the cogs turning to make things happen, from trail maintenance, advocacy, council communication,
committee meetings, events and much more.

President

STEPHEN "OSSY" OSSEDRYVER

Steve started riding in 2011 when his dirt bike buddy, got him into it. In 2012 he did a Firefighter exchange in Whistler and mountain biked all summer. He joined the local MTB club WORCA (1200 strong) and rode every chance he got. After arriving home in Dec 2012, he started developing trails in Sugarbag and adding some timber features.  He loves helping others to get into mountain biking and teaching and encouraging new riders to develop their skills. He enjoys all styles of mountain biking and looks forward to riding more and doing a little less trail work and organising in the future.

The club wouldn't be what it is, without all the hard work and dedication from Steve.

Past President / General

Committee Member

JENNY TANNOCH BLAND

Originally from the Gold Coast, Jenny retired to Caloundra, her happy place, after spending a lot of her adult life overseas.  She became addicted to rock climbing and took up kiting and sup surfing.  Three years later, on a borrowed MTB a ride in Ferny Forest, she fell in love with the feeling of being on a bike in the bush and it still delights her each time.  Is there anything she won't try?

Her greatest achievement is having introduced her two grandchildren to mountain biking.  She is on a mission to build her skills and loves being part of the enthusiastic, fun-loving and encouraging community of  "The Little Club That Could."

Secretary

KURT MARTIN

New to the position at the end of 2024, Kurt has been actively involved in the trails at Sugar Bag having been the Recreation Trails Officer at Sunshine Coast Council.   Having now joined the team at Trailworx in Business Development he hopes to continue to support CORCA and our local trails as a member of the riding community.

Treasurer

JO PROTHERO

Jo moved to the Coast from Falls Creek Alpine Resort, North East Victoria in 2020. She was instrumental in developing the trail network at the resort to encourage visitation outside of the winter season.

Jo is a qualified Professional Mountain Instructor Association (PMBIA) Level 1 Instructor and has a passion to get more women riding mountain bikes in a fun, safe, supportive and encouraging environment.

Business Co-ordinator /

Trail Sponsorship

WIL CRAIG

Will first dabbled in MTBing in 2007, when she entered the Noosa Enduro.  It was an incredible experience, and she was blown away by how very social the ride was.  She discovered the club some years later and hasn't looked back since.

She loves the welcoming community and the benefits of leaving everything else behind when you are on a bike.   She is passionate about encouraging women to get off road and discover the joys of the trails for themselves.

General Committee Member

JACQUE

Jacque keeps all things CORCA ticking in the background. From putting together the monthly member's e-newsletter to updating events and notifications through the new Hive App.

She got into mountain biking because she got tired of watching her kids have all the fun.  She loves the forced mindfulness of mountain biking and the awesome community of people that make it a joy to engage in.

The current committee consists of 16 mountain bikers from a wide background. Each committee member brings to the club a variety of skills, expertise and passion. They make decisions, lead portfolios, facilitate activities and carry out projects that ultimately serve the mountain bike community.

IT ISN'T ABOUT STATUS, ITS ABOUT SERVING.

IT ISN'T ABOUT GETTING, ITS ABOUT GIVING.

The club continues to build an incredible community, achieving great things because of the committee, club volunteers, and the support of the Sunshine Coast council. Though we have a committee, it takes an entire club of passionate people to maintain and develop our local trails, and to continue building our local mountain bike community.

Get behind us by offering your help as a volunteer. Together we can achieve so much!
